General Information

Date and Venue

The 4^th CED/NOF Joint- Meeting will take place on 24-27 August 2000 in Warsaw. The meeting will be held at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel, which is conveniently located in the centre of Warsaw, approx. 15 km from the airport and close to the main railway station.The Marriott Hotel is located within walking distance of the Old Town (20min). 

Registration and accommodation

Participants are kindly requested to register for the meeting and accommodation using the registration form. It should be sent by mail or fax to the local Organizing Committee. The special congress hotel price is available only if you register at the Marriott Hotel via the Organizing Committee. Room reservation will be offered on a "first come, first served" basis. 
On-site registration is possible at the registration desk (Marriott hotel), which will be open from Thursday August 24^rd until Sunday August 27^th from 8.00 to 17.30

Registration deadline and fees

The deadline for early registration is June 1^st , 2000 and after this date a higher registration fee will be charged. The CED/NOF Joint Meeting fee includes the scientific programme, exhibition, congress materials, coffee for three days, lunches on Friday and Saturday and the welcome reception.

Cancellation of registration

Cancellation must be made in writing to the Organizing Committee. A full refund minus a 30 USD processing fee will be made upon written cancellation received by mail or fax before July 1^st ,2000. No refund will be made after this date. The refund will be made after the Meeting. 

Payment instructions

Payment by credit card is encouraged (VISA, American Express, Master Card); direct bank transfers are also acceptable. Full payment must be received along with the registration form. Please notice that all bank charges are to be paid by the sender.

On-site registration

Payment in full must be made in cash only in Polish currency at the time of registration. Main credit cards will also be accepted.

IADR membership

Participants are kindly reminded that in order to qualify for the lower IADR member registration fee they should pay their dues at the appropriate division by May 1^st, 2000.

The dental industry is kindly invited to present products during the meeting. Please contact the Organizing Committee for space reservation. 

Transportation and climate

Warsaw is situated in the centre of Poland, with easy access by plane , railway or car. The venue of the congress is situated approx.15 km from the airport; there is a shuttle bus service from the airport to the Marriott Hotel - please contact the Marriott booth at the airport. You can also reach all the hotels by taxi - however, to take a licensed taxi which accepts credit cards, please contact the congress assistant at the Marriott booth or call 919 to order a taxi.

The BSC Conference Bureau Ltd. on request provides car transport from the airport to the hotels and back, with a guide-interpreter. Price per car (2 persons) for one-way transport: $ 20. 
In August the weather in Warsaw is good, with the average temperature ranging from 20-24^OC, and a chance for occasional rain.
